Sugarbug Sheriff and Decay Deputies 5-Star Services

Dr. Angela Patterson (aka. Sugarbug Sheriff) and her amazing team (aka. Decay Deputies) are parent endorsed and kid recommended!

Our focus: prevention, early detections and treatment of dental disease for children.
Our goal: help all children feel good about visiting the dentist and teach them how to take care of their teeth for the rest of their lives.

1

Dental Cleanings

Healthy teeth and gums are critical to both oral and overall health. Along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, we recommend children visit the dentist by their first birthday. All cleanings include a thorough oral health evaluation.

2

Dental Fillings

Sometimes tooth decay requires dental fillings to prevent any further damage and eliminate pain or sensitivity in the tooth. Tooth decay may be present if your child is experiencing sensitivity to hot or cold food and drinks, jaw pain or headaches. Our thorough exam will determine the degree of decay and whether or not fillings are necessary.

3

Low Radiation Digital X-Rays

For the safety of our young patients, Children's Dentistry of West Georgia only takes x-rays when necessary. All images are low radiation digital x-rays, which use 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to quickly diagnose any hidden problems and provide appropriate treatment recommendations. Digital panoramic x-rays are also used when indicated to provide us with a complete view of your child's jaw, teeth, and bite.

4

Fluoride Treatment for Stronger Teeth

A natural mineral found in our food and water, fluoride prevents tooth decay by making it harder for bacteria to cause cavities. Fluoride treatments are offered when necessary to strengthen tooth enamel and help keep teeth healthy.

5

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are an aesthetic covering placed over a tooth to provide stability. Sometimes a tooth may be too damaged to repair with a filling and require a crown to both improve the strength and appearance of the teeth. We only recommend dental crowns for children when absolutely necessary.

6

Dental Decay Prevention Education

Tooth decay is a daily battle. Our mouths are exposed to a lot of bacteria, including bacteria that forms naturally. At Children's Dentistry of West Georgia, we can educate, demonstrate, and help your children care for their teeth.
